The Grand Ledge Exhibition is September 30 at Grand Ledge High School, and the OHS band performs at 6:47 pm. Please check VolunteerSpot. Help is still needed with uniforms, chaperoning and assistance with equipment on the field. You can find the entire schedule for the evening here.
The Okemos High School marching band uniforms are nearly 20 years old, five years past their expected lifespan. The uniforms are tattered, fraying and in urgent need of replacement. We’re currently at capacity of usable uniforms and the marching band program continues to grow.New uniforms cost about $375 each, and replacement of the current inventory for the entire band will cost approximately $80,000.
Join the effort to spread the word and raise money to Dress the Band. More information about the campaign, including a form to make a contribution can be found below.
Please make your check payable to OHS Band Boosters

The Car Wash-a-Thon is September 19
The Car Wash-a-Thon is the band’s only fundraiser of the year and a fun way to spend some time on a September Saturday. The first $90 raised goes to the band boosters general fund to help with the purchase of instruments, music, pay instructors and drill writers, and much more. Anything raised above the $90 will go into your student’s account to be used only for trips, such as our annual winter get-a-way trip in February or our “big trip” in 2018 as a performing ensemble. Encourage your student to get pledges for the day, and please volunteer to help. You can volunteer by clicking on the VolunteerSpot button on the right. You can find the Wash-a-thon packet here.
